Knitting and Crocheting: Some good, relaxing stuff to do in your spare time, if you get some spare time that is! You'll have something pretty and/or useful to show for it too. It's easy, give it a try. Supplies are available at Michaels, Joanne's, Walmart and craft stores.

(great for kids, something to do while traveling and/or for anyone without a crochet hook!)
BTW: When my daughter was about 6 or 7, she made long, finger crocheted cords or strands out of thick - red, white and green - variegated yarn (the color changes along the same strand of yarn). These we tie around gifts and even drape around our Christmas trees every year. They still look good today!
