Sue's (and Dawn's) Review
Los Vegas, NV
May 26, 28 & 29, 2005 (Thurdsay, Saturday and Sunday nights)

Dawn and I went to 3 of the 4 Air Supply shows at the showroom in the beautiful Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The Hotel is not on the "main drag". It is about 2 miles out. It is nice though. The pace is not as hectic as downtown. There is a free shuttle bus that takes guests to the "Barbary Coast Casino" which is right downtown or you can take a cab.

We arrived at the Orleans at about 5:00 pm on May 25th. It was over 100 degrees - very hot!! We had a really nice room on the 16th floor. We got unpacked and spent the evening just looking around the Hotel and Casino to familiarize ourselves with all the facilities, especially the Showroom. The next morning we were up at 5:20am. As Vegas is 3 hours behind Toronto to us it was 8:20. We had a half-priced breakfast (served between midnight and 7:00am) and set out to see the sights. We toured several of the "BIG" casinos - and they are BIG. I had never
been to Vegas, and it had been over 20 years since Dawn had been there. Everything was larger than life and it was hard to believe that we were really there!!!

We made sure that we returned to the Orleans in plenty of time to get ready for "The Show". As usual, the anticipation was so overwhelming, just knowing that soon we would see and hear our favourite group. The
concert began with the stage in darkness with quite a long intro. They opened the show with 2 new songs, "Remember Me" and "A little Bit of Everything". Both songs are fantastic (How does Graham do it???) I certainly hope they will be on the the new Studio album that Graham promises for later this year. Graham and Russell were so full of energy - better than ever. I'm sure Russell had some new dance steps when he travelled across the stage. He looked wonderful in his new black suit! - and Graham - He had a new, shorter spikier hairdo. He looked great and he was jumping higher than ever. The energy continued throughout the show. They were funny, joking around and getting lots
of reaction from the audience. It was a wonderful show as were the shows on Saturday and Sunday. Russell sang "Miracles". What a beautiful song! They sang "Faith in Love"- another new song. I'm glad that they are introducing more of their new material into the concerts. Everyone loves them.

Graham sat on a stool at the front of the stage and sang "We are all Children". He asked any children in the audience to join him on stage. He did get some kids up on stage on Saturday and Sunday. It was fun watching and listening to him interact with them. They were very good and just stood and listened to him sing. Of course before he started singing he told the audience that he was singing the number alone to allow Russell the 4 and a half minutes it takes him to put on his "very tight" leather pants. That always gets a laugh from the crowd.

Air Supply performed 16 songs. Jed, Jonni and Mike did their usual solos as well.

In the second half of the show on Friday, Dawn got a kiss from Russell when he came down to sing in the audience. I got a hug from him on Saturday when he was in the audience. What a thrill!!!
On Sunday night, I took a picture of Dawn with Graham as she got up and joined him in the aisle during the audience number - "The One That You Love". (She has been wanting to do that for a while. I'm glad she finally did it!!)

The "Meet and Greet" sessions were wonderful. The guys were all so "chatty" - not rushed at all. They took time to talk to the fans and let them take as many pictures as they wanted. Of course we got lots
of pictures and of course hugs and kisses too!!!

We had a truly wonderful and amazing time in Vegas. It was worth the wait and every penny spent!!

We are now looking forward to the concerts at "Casino Rama" in August.
